Greek composer and teacher Haris Xanthoudakis was born in Piraeus in 1950. His teachers included Iannis Xenakis.
Xanthoudakis taught at a series of conservatories in Europe and in 1992 became professor of music at the Ionian University in Corfu. His knowledge was wide-ranging, also encompassing art history, lingusitics, philology and semiotics.
His output as a composer includes the orchestral work Terra Dove.
Haris Xanthoudakis died in Athens on 7 November 2023, aged seventy-three.
