Lebanese composer, pianist and teacher Setrak Antoine Setrakian was born on 23 November 1938 in Aleppo, where he began his music studies with Ernest Chouha. Later he studied at the National Conservatoires of Lebanon and Damascus, in Jerusalem and at the 'Komitas' Conservatoire of Yerevan.
He wrote at least four hundred works.
From 1986 until 1999 he taught analysis, composition, harmony and piano at the P Ganatchian Music College in Beirut.
Setrak Setrakian died in 2013.
