Georg Abraham Schneider

German horn player and composer Georg Abraham Schneider was born in Darmstadt on 19 April 1770.

He initially worked as a horn player at various royal courts, and then began composing music focusing on the horn, writing the first work for valved horn.

Schneider died in Berlin on 19 January 1839, aged sixty-eight.
