David Raksin

The well-known American film composer David Raksin was born in Philadelphia on 4 August 1912. Among others, Raksin wrote the film music for Charlie Chaplin's Modern Times and the 1983 blockbuster The Day After. Overall, Raksin composed music for more than one hundred and seventy movies and television shows.

David Raksin died in Los Angeles on 9 August 2004. He was ninety-two.
