Italian composer and teacher Teresa Procaccini was born in Cerignola on 23 March 1934. She studied organ with Fernando Germani and composition with Virgilio Mortari.
She was briefly director of the Conservatory of Foggia, and until 2001 she taught composition at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome.
Her more than two hundred works include orchestral music, concertos, vocal and choral, chamber and instrumental music, music for children, and works for theatrical cartoons.
