Russian pianist and composer Aleksey Nasedkin was born in Moscow on 20 December 1942. He won several prizes for his piano playing, was a People's Artist of the Russian Federation, president of Russia's Schubert Society, a member of the USSR (and subsequently RF) Composers' Union and a professor at the Moscow Conservatory.
He died in Moscow on 4 December 2014, aged seventy-two.
