The Sixteen

The Sixteen is a high profile professional choir and period instrument orchestra founded in 1977 by Harry Christophers and based in London UK.

The group performs selections of early English Polyphony, Renaissance, Baroque and early Classical music, plus a wide range of twentieth century and contemporary music.

The Sixteen also makes recordings on its own label, CORO, and, in partnership with the Genesis Foundation, offers the UK's first fully-funded choral training programme for young singers, Genesis Sixteen.
