Cugate Classics

Berlin-based record label Cugate Classics originated in the early 1990s with a series of high quality recordings made in Lithuania, Moscow, Novosibirsk, St Petersburg and Tbilisi by Iris Mazur and Memo Rhein from Germany. It resulted in over three hundred albums, most of which weren't released at the time. Later, when Memo Rhein met Elmar Lindemann, a former manager at Sony Classical, they decided to relaunch the complete archive of material. Cugate Classics was founded in 2013.
