Pierre Fontenelle is a young Belgian-American cellist who teaches at IMEP, the Royal Institute of Music and Pedagogy based in Namur, Belgium. He grew up in Seattle before returning to Belgium and has always been inspired by the rich tapestry of American musical traditions. He left his position as cello soloist at the Liège Royal Opéra three years ago to focus on a solo career, and has actively sought to bring this American mix across the pond into Western Europe.
