La Mer is one of Debussy's most universally admired orchestral works. By contrast, his Première Suite pour orchestre was lost for more than a century, and came as a complete discovery in 2013 when Les Siècles made the first recording, played on instruments of the period. Now here is a brand-new remastering.
Recorded live on period instruments on 13 April 2012 at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa-Cecilia, Rome, Italy (tracks 5-7), 2 February 2012 at the Cité de la musique, Paris, France (tracks 1-3) and 13 October 2012 at the Abbaye de Royaumont, Val-d'Oise, France (track 4).
