Russian baritone and music teacher Vladimir Nikolayevich Urbanovich was born in Usolye-Sibirskoye on 8 July 1938.
He was a soloist at the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre from 1965, performing more than sixty roles in classical and modern operatic works. He toured to Egypt, Germany, Poland and Portugal, took part in several TV operas and also gave concerts. He taught at the conservatory in Novosibirsk.
Vladimir Urbanovich died in Novosibirsk on 1 November 2023, aged eighty-five.
