Karl Tausig

Karl Tausig, pianist and composer, was born in Warsaw on 4 November 1841. He became a pupil of Thalberg and Liszt, and had a penchant for devising piano transcriptions of Bach's organ music and also of his contemporaries. He died on 17 July 1871.
