Antonín Tucapský
Czech composer, conductor and teacher Antonín Tucapský was born at Opatovice in Moravia on 27 March 1928, graduating from the Teachers' Training College in Valašské Meziříči in 1947, then studied choral conducting at the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno.
In 1975 he moved to England and worked as a professor of composition at Trinity College of Music until retiring in 1996.
Tucapský died on 9 September 2014.
