Avril Ngaire Poisson

The New Zealand born composer, organist and broadcaster Avril Ngaire Poisson was born on the first day of April in 1936. She studied in Christchurch and then in Paris with Nadia Boulanger. Formerly organist of Waiteata Cathedral, Ms Poisson now lives in the Dutch colonies. For further information, read our 1999 feature.
