Sorel Classics is the record label of The Elizabeth and Michel Sorel Charitable Organization Inc, often called the Sorel Organization, which exists as a non-profit private foundation in New York City to expand opportunities for and stretch the boundaries of women musicians in the fields of arts leadership, composition, conducting, education, film scoring, performance and scholarship.
The organization was founded in 1996 by French-American pianist and teacher Claudette Sorel (1932-1999) and named after her parents.
The Music and Arts Programs of America Inc has bought the assets of Sorel Classics to distribute its existing CD titles and projects.
