Penelope Cave

Penelope Cave is a British harpsichordist who also lectures, teaches and gives masterclasses in early keyboard studies. She studied at the Purcell School of Music and at the Royal Academy of Music, winning several prizes.
She has given solo performances at the Purcell Room and Wigmore Hall in London, and at music clubs throughout Britain. She has played at the Edinburgh, Flanders, Godalming, Greenbelt, Presteigne, Stratford on Avon, Ryedale, Winchester and York Festivals, and has recorded for BBC Radio 3, Belgian Radio, Classic FM, Hyperion, Naxos, Pace Recordings and Prima Facie.
She performs piano duet repertoire with Australian fortepiano player Katrina Faulds, is an active committee member of the British Harpsichord Society, and writes and reviews for various early music publications.
She advises on the use of music to enhance the style and character of specific country houses, and recently project-managed and appeared in four short films for the National Trust on music at Tatton Park.
