In 2022, cellist Gautier Capuçon launched the Foundation Gautier Capuçon to support talented young artists in the first steps of their careers. This recording is the latest in an ongoing partnership with Warner Classics, which grants one or more laureates of the Foundation the opportunity to record their first CD with the label. Luka (violin) and Léo (cello) Ispir are both laureates of the 2023 edition of the Foundation. Their first recording features Ravel's Sonata for Violin and Cello, Mozart's String Duo No 1 in G, and new arrangements of music by Bach created by the Ispir brothers themselves. The album also includes the first recording of Fazil Say's Street of Memories and closes with Johan Halvorsen's Passacaglia (After Handel's Suite in G Minor, HWV 432).
