Ludwig van Beethoven:
Piano Concerto No 5 'Emperor'
Quintet for Piano and Winds
Elisabeth Leonskaja, who described Beethoven's Piano Concerto No 5 as 'the supreme piano concerto', releases a new recording with the players of the Orchestre Français des Jeunes, a French national ensemble for exceptional instrumentalists aged between sixteen and twenty-five. She pairs it with Beethoven's Quintet for Piano and Winds in E flat, Op 16, featuring four outstanding soloists of the Orchestre Français des Jeunes - Arsène Brucker (bassoon), Sacha Hannecart-Ségal (clarinet), Camille Vauchez (horn) and Cécile Colinet (oboe).
