Born in Taiwan, pianist Chia-Ying Jaqueline Tu gave her first public recital at Kaohsiung Music Hall at the age of eighteen. Besides a scholarship from the Yamaha Music Foundation, she has won many prizes in Taiwan including the National Music Contest. She studied piano at postgraduate level at the Royal Academy of Music in London UK.
She loves making travel notes and random doodles, listening to 1930s jazz, and she watches at least one film a day. Jaqueline is also the author of Life around the Piano, a short-lived series of articles published in Music & Vision Magazine in 2013.
