Victor De Sabata

Victor De Sabata was born in Trieste on 10 April 1892 and died at Santa Margherita Ligure on 11 December 1967. His operatic conducting is well remembered, both at La Scala and Bayreuth. He premièred Maurice Ravel's L'Enfant et les Sortileges at Monte Carlo in 1925.
