Iyad Sughayer

Jordanian-Palestinian pianist Iyad Sughayer was born on 16 October 1993 in Amman, where he studied at the National Music Conservatory. Later he studied with Marie-Louise Taylor and Murray McLachlan at Chetham's School of Music in Manchester, UK and at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London. His teachers also inlcuded Peter Tuite, Martino Tirimo and Muhammed Othman Sidiq.

Sughayer's debut album, featuring piano music by Aram Khachaturian on BIS Records, was released in 2019. He has also appeared with the Amman Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, the Cairo Symphony Orchestra, the European Union Chamber Orchestra and the Manchester Camerata, and has played in Cyprus, Italy and Lithuania.
