Daniel Pelton is a young Canadian administrator, band leader, composer, saxophonist and teacher from Calgary, Alberta. He began to play sax when he was nine years old, and later studied at Calgary University.
He often performs with his contemporary chamber group The Daniel Pelton Collective. He created the 'Composer in Residence' position with Calgary Public Library and led the Calgary Jazz Orchestra for a semester.
