Andrew Millington

British organist, conductor and teacher Andrew Millington, born in 1952, sang in the choir at Great Malvern Priory as a child, studied at King's School Worcester and Worcester Cathedral with Harry Bramma and Christopher Robinson. He was organ scholar at Downing College Cambridge and then worked as assistant organist at Gloucester Cathedral, developing a career as organist, conductor and teacher, and conducting the Aldwyn Consort of Voices, Birmingham Bach Society, Kidderminster Choral Society and the Saint Cecilia Singers.

From 1983 until 1999, he was organist and master of the choristers at Guildford Cathedral, and from 1999 until 2015 he was director of music at Exeter Cathedral, where he also conducted the Exeter Philharmonic Choir.

He gives organ recitals and examines for the Associated Board. He was president of Exeter and District Organists' Association for 2024-25.
