Vadim Gluzman was born in the Ukraine in 1973 and began studying the violin at the age of seven. He studied with Zakhar Bron and later, after moving to Israel in 1990, with Yair Kless. He also studied in the USA with Arkady Fomin, Dorothy DeLay and Masao Kawasaki.
Early in his career, Gluzman was encouraged and supported by Isaac Stern, and in 1994 he received the Henryk Szeryng Foundation Career Award. He plays the 1690 ex-Leopold Auer Stradivarius, and has appeared throughout the world as a soloist and in duo recitals with his pianist wife Angela Yoffe.
