PROVOCATIVE THOUGHTS: Patric Standford (1939-2014). Photo © 2011 Sophie Standford
The late Patric Standford may have written these short pieces deliberately to provoke our feedback. If so, his success is reflected in the rich range of readers' comments appearing at the foot of most of the pages.

Chris Graham

In 2010, Chris Graham was a recently retired amateur music lover and choral singer in the UK, performing with the London Concert Choir and participating in performances of Britten's War Requiem in London and Salisbury.

In order to broaden his musical horizons and to listen to more music, he studied at the CityLit Institute in London (on the course New Music: Where is the avant-garde today? taught by Classical Music Daily contributor Malcolm Miller).
