Hungarian tenor and actor János Csányi was born in NagykÅ‘rös on 28 October 1931. He studied privately at the Erkel Ferenc Music School in Postások and then privately with Emília Posszert and Kálmán Hetényi.
He worked at the Csiky Gergely Theatre in Kaposvár, at the National Theatre in Pécs and then at the Budapest Operetta Theatre. He also worked in film and on TV.
János Csányi died on or before 20 July 2024, aged ninety-two.
