David Aaron Carpenter

American viola player David Aaron Carpenter was born at Great Neck, New York, in 1986. He studied violin from the age of six and began learning viola at eleven. He was first prize winner in the 2005 Philadelphia Orchestra Young Artists Competition and the 2006 Walter W Naumburg Viola Competition, and recipient of the 2010 Avery Fisher Career Grant.
