Heinz Holliger

The outstanding oboist, composer and conductor Heinz Holliger was born in Switzerland on 21 May 1939. As a soloist, several distinctive composers such as Berio and Henze wrote works for him. His own music has always been forward-looking, such as Pneuma for 34 winds, organ, percussion, and radios.
