Carlos Cipa

German pianist and composer Carlos Cipa was born on 19 March 1990. He started to play the piano at six and later, aged sixteen, when he began playing drums in a hardcore punk band, he began to be interested in improvising and writing his own music.

In 2012 his first solo piano recording, The Monarch And The Viceroy, issued on Denovali Records, established him on the contemporary classical scene. By 2019 his albums were being released on the Warner Classics label.
